Show Us Where You Live Friday

Kelly over at Kelly's Korner (click on the Miracles Happen button on the right of my blog) has a fun thing going on called "Show Us Where You Live Friday". Each week you can tour everyone's homes room by room. I think it's a great idea and it will be super fun to see everyone else's homes (and maybe even steal a few ideas).

This week is Kitchen Week!

This is the view coming into the house from the laundry room & garage door area. I love how much counter and bar space I have! It's great for serving buffet style at parties and I also love how it looks out into Caden's playroom (on the left) and our living room (what you can barely see on the right).

This is the section between our refrigerator and double oven. I LOVE my double oven...again, it's something great for parties! I haven't shown a picture of our refrigerator because it's white (it matches the appliances in our old house). It bugs me that it's white but is was only 2 years old when we built this house and we just couldn't justify spending the money on a new one. We've been here a few years now, and I think before long we'll break down and get a black or stainless one so that everything will match.

This is our breakfast nook. We have a formal dining but this is where we eat. Since having Caden, we try to eat dinner at the table as a family every night. We pull away a chair and push his highchair up to the table so he can eat with us. This table and chair set belonged to Zach's grandmother and we recovered the chairs so that they would match everything else in the house. It was definitely a blessing to get to use this, but I am looking for something different...I just can't decide what. I used to want a bistro table but now I'm not so sure.
