It's Show Us Where You Live Friday again!!! Today is all about Dining Rooms and my dining room is one of my favorite rooms in our house! We don't use it everyday because we eat our meals in the breakfast area by our kitchen. HOWEVER, I love the set up and flow of my dining room when I have showers or other parties. So let's get started...(before we start...I have no idea why some of these pictures are crooked - maybe it's because I was in a hurry)!
This is the view of our dining room looking in from the kitchen/area by our pantry. I love the fact that it has a big window looking out onto our front porch. The table and chairs (and the buffet & hutch that you'll see in a little while) were my grandmother's. I had them painted and distressed but I love having them because it brings back fun memories of my grandmother's house.
This is the view standing in front of the window. I use that glass hurricane in the middle of the table for flowers when I have showers or at Christmas I will put cranberries in it and set my table with my china. I need to find something to put in it for just every other day when there aren't any special events.
I love my china and wanted to display it, so I found this great china cabinet and it fit perfect in this spot. I don't love what is on top of it but I'm working on changing that! 
My china...it is Tennyson by Royal Doulton! My favorite color of all time is PINK but my favorite non-girly color is red or brown, and Zach's favorite color is red so we BOTH liked this china which was an additional plus. It is so great at Christmas because I will set my dining room table and leave it set all month, I have a special/formal Christmas tree that I put in my dining room that follows the same theme, etc.
This is the buffet & hutch that I mentioned earlier. It is also a great place to store my serving pieces and any thing else I might need to put in there.
This is the view looking in from our entryway. See that big blank wall??? I've got to do something with it. When we first built our house, I wanted to put a bunch of different/fun mirrors along that wall. BUT then we had Caden and I found that great frame at Kirkland's. I already knew before I had him that I would have my children's picture taken every month for the first year of their life and then taper off to 18 months, 2 years, etc. So when I saw this frame, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. Now, I just can't decide what else to put on that wall. I see different things that I like but nothing that I love, so I guess I'll just wait until something that I love comes along...or perhaps, I should go buy another one of those frames for pictures of future children???

Wow, your dining room is huge. I love the floor, is that stained concrete? Nice. I also love your black furniture. Nice to have fun memories with your stuff. :)
